Robert R. Warns, III

Robert R. Warns III is a Member of Reisman Sorokac. Mr. Warns has called Las Vegas his home since 2007 and has been an active trial lawyer in Nevada, since 2010.  Utilizing his background in Economics, Mr. Warns concentrates his business litigation practice in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and private mediations and arbitrations, focusing on complex commercial litigation.  His business litigation experience includes contracts, real estate, fiduciary relationships, securities, commercial landlord/tenant, gaming contracts, business torts, non-competes, indemnity agreements, alter-ego and fraudulent transfer actions along with pre-litigation dispute resolution and writ proceedings.

Mr. Warns has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation by the Mountain States Super Lawyers publication, and was voted a “Legal Elite” and among the “Best Up and Coming Attorneys” by Nevada Business Magazine.

  • Obtained a $3.8 million judgment—following a five week trial—in favor of an investment consultant who played a key role in the development of Downtown Las Vegas
  • Obtained a favorable settlement for a client in a securities litigation against the client's broker
  • Obtained in the Nevada Supreme Court (sitting En Banc) a favorable ruling for a client that the Nevada Department of Transportation is not a "design professional" under a Nevada statute requiring suits against "design professionals" to meet certain filing requirements
  • Obtained in a FINRA arbitration a favorable award on behalf of a former Managing Direct and Co-Head of Investment Banking against global banking firm Jeffries LLC
