Michael R. Kalish is a detail-oriented real estate attorney that has been practicing for more than a decade. He has a business-centered approach and offers clients informed, pragmatic advice based on his extensive experience as outside and in-house counsel.
Michael focuses his practice on a wide range of complex commercial real estate transactions, including, acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing and land use matters. He has assisted a number of premier gaming resorts and private equity firms with significant acquisitions and dispositions. He also served as the in-house corporate counsel for Foley Family Wines and Epic Wines & Spirits, where he led the real estate and corporate transactions for each company, including the acquisition of more than 500 acres of real property and three premium wine brands. As a result of this experience, Michael is skilled at working closely with clients to develop practical solutions to help achieve their goals.
Michael is also committed to donating his time for pro bono clients and giving back to the Las Vegas community. He regularly participates in the Ask-A-Lawyer program for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, who has recognized Michael as a volunteer of the month. - Represented a major gaming resort in connection with the development of a casino and racetrack in Columbus, Nebraska.
- Represented a leading real estate private equity firm in connection with the acquisition of (i) more than 450,000 square feet of office space in five buildings in Westlake Village, California, and (ii) 35 acres in Riverside County, California for the development of more than 600,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space.
- Assisted a pro bono nonprofit organization with obtaining land use entitlements for a major training facility in Las Vegas, Nevada for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
